BTS, Nominee for the American Music Awards
The group BTS has been nominated for two categories at the "2020 American Music Awards" at the prestigious U.S. pop music awards ceremony.
The American Music Awards reported on its official website on the 26th (local time) that BTS was nominated for the Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite Social Artist categories. In addition to BTS, groups Jonas Brothers and Maroon 5 were nominated for "Pop/Rock Genre Favorite Duo/Group."
Since winning the "Favorite Social Artist" for the first time at the 2018 American Music Awards, BTS has been nominated for the category for three consecutive years until this year. At the "2019 American Music Awards," he won trophies in all categories nominated for "Favorite Social Artist" as well as "Pop/Rock Genre Favorite Duo/Group" and "Tour of the Year," and also set a new record as the first Korean singer to win two consecutive years. Attention is focusing on whether BTS, who has been nominated for three consecutive years this year, will be able to make history again.
The "2020 American Music Awards" will be held at 8 p.m. on November 22 (Eastern U.S. time).
